Celebrating Five Years

No project in the Association's 100-year history has galvanized the auto industry more than the creation of the Center for Automotive Education & Training (CAET).

Now in its fifth year, the 90,000 square foot energy-efficient complex features state-of-the-art service and training areas, classrooms, service bays, lecture halls, an auditorium and an exceptional atrium, perfect for special displays, receptions, and sales training in a simulated showroom.

The Center is an incredible asset for dealerships that have benefitted from the hundreds of classes, seminars and training sessions offered since its opening. From career development programs and specialized management courses, the Center is a vital component in the success of auto dealerships.

The Center is also instrumental in attracting and preparing the next generation of automotive professionals. Its on-site Lincoln Technical Institute (LTI) campus has been involved in CAET's development from the very beginning. As a national leader in automotive education, LTI provides technician training for hundreds of students each year.

Manufacturers have also found a home at the Center by offering OEM training to dealership employees. Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Suzuki, Volkswagen, and Volvo have all held workshops at the Center, and Toyota has had permanent training space at the Center for the last five years.

The Center has been called a work in progress or a great experiment. After five years in existence, we are proud to call it a great success.
