This interactive course prepares you to pass the NYS Notary Public exam and provides a comprehensive view of the notary public office. A common misconception is that merely passing the exam adequately prepares you for life as a notary – it does not. This class helps you both to prepare for the exam and to officiate in accordance with NYS laws. Confusing laws, concepts, and procedures are explained.
Notary Workshop will review these topics:
• Avoiding conflicts of interest
• Maintaining professional ethics
• Handle special situations
• Charging proper fees
• Know when to defer to an attorney
If you are a notary and need to brush up on procedures, you can attend this course from 10:00am to 2:00pm to review NYS Notary Public License Laws and learn about industry trends and legislative changes affecting your commission. Tuition of $100 for update session only, which includes all handouts and materials.
